about f+mA

Foster + Melville is an architectural practice with a wide disciplinary focus, operating out of offices in both Wellington and Auckland. We’re lucky enough to work on a broad range of projects, at different scales, and from different industries. Around our two studios there are a selection of specialties that drive our projects – human-centric design, sustainable solutions, and heritage and contextual sensitivity.

We have a commitment to quality architectural solutions – we focus on achieving the end goal, without studio hierarchy, or individual ego on projects.

We offer service through all phases of the architecture and building process, from pre-concept through to post-occupancy, and can advise on and coordinate with consultants and contractors before and during the build.

our vision

is to improve life through architecture that enables change, without costing the future...

balance

we love the challenge to source the best product - touching the earth lightly and offering alternative solutions to meet your project parameters

responsible design

we aim to reach higher with our delivery, striving for surprise and delight through respectful collaboration and resourceful design

curiosity

researching and engaging thoroughly with the meaning behind each decision we make...we thrive on problem solving and we live for the brief!

We aim to bring these values to every project we work on, with the same
level of commitment and intensity.
